Library Display Cases

What do you collect? Vintage toys, glass paperweights, insects? The library welcomes the loan of your special collection, to be displayed for the enjoyment of the public. Items are displayed for one-month periods and may have fun and informative contests associated with them.

AMERICANA AT THE LIBRARY

An exquisite collection of American glass bottles is currently on display in the library. Included in the collection is a very interesting, old-fashioned fire extinguisher. Also on display is an excellent collection of oil paintings by Harry Synder of Tamaqua depicting local coal collieries and breakers that no longer exist.

Another very talented local artist, Chris Fredericks, will have his work on display in the library.

 

Art in the Lounge

The library would like to display the artwork of local artists there is wall space in the Reading Lounge for approximately eight pieces of art. Interested artists can display their work for a one-month period and leave business cards to help promote his/her artwork.
